Hailing from Massachusetts, Caroline Mascott is a Vanderbilt University student with dual majors in cognitive studies and medicine, health, and society (MHS) on the pre-nursing track. During her studies, Caroline Mascott has written several research papers examining the political, economic and societal factors that define health care, including “The Role of Teachers in Supporting Students’ Mental Health.”
Ms. Mascott completed her high school degree in Massachusetts in 2021 with the highest distinction. She volunteered with Ed Markey’s campaign for the United States Senate in 2020 and completed a high school internship with the New Hampshire Orthopedic Center. She captained the math team and played on the varsity tennis, field hockey and skiing teams. She also gained hospitality experience as a senior hostess where she managed a variety of customer service duties and trained new hires on policies and procedures of the busy restaurant.
Active in the Pi Beta Phi Sorority, Ms. Mascott emphasizes the value of philanthropy, sisterhood, and volunteerism. In the sorority, she has read to students in the community with the Read>Lead>Achieve program. Caroline Mascott volunteers every summer with Surfing With Smiles, an organization dedicated to teaching surfing skills to those with developmental disabilities.
